How Haven treated the previous owners and then tried to do the same to us is absolutely disgusting and the site manager there has no morals as does not care about how he treat OAPS The site manager clearly lied to us saying that he had no knowledge of the van being damaged but we had all the previous correspodance and his name was always involved. We engaged a solicitor and produced all the emails from the previous owners and photographs clearly showing the damaged caused by Haven and were eventually offered a refund for the van but not the site fees even though we had not been able to use one of the bedrooms at all. We started to get serious water ingress in the van damaging wall boards,carpets and curtains and asked for a full refund which was refused by the site manager. Three weeks later they sold it to us for around £22000 and encouraged us to rent it but never informed us the van had previously been seriously damaged by them. She relied on having to rent out the van in order to be able to stay there but after four years they then told her the van was not suitable to rent anymore and she had no choice but to sell it back to them and they informed her the van would only be used for their entertainments people and gave her £8000 back for it- she was heartbroken. She was promised another van of the same quality but they never came up with that and she spent the next few seasons trying to get it repaired properly which was never done. The van we purchased was previously owned by an eighty year old woman who paid around £44000 for it and Haven seriously damaged the van while siting it for her including twisted chassis, dropped windows and doors, holes in the interior walls.
